Synopsis
What role can a diverse German national team play in Germany, a country of immigration? How has the DFB team changed since the 1990s? And who feels represented by it? Jonathan Tah, Shkodran Mustafi and Gerald Asamoah, three current and former national players, talk about the DFB team as a social phenomenon and object of identification. They talk about racism, about hostility - but also how football can contribute to integration. And about the pride in wearing the DFB jersey, even if not everyone in Germany identifies with a multicultural team in their own country shortly before EURO 2024.
