Biography

Benjamin Luke Mitchell (from Kent, England) is a long-term traveller and creator of the ‘Lost Yet Free’ video project. Benjamin has been travelling around the world by different means since 2012. His journeys have taken him through a range in lifestyles from heavily relying on outdoor equipment to minimalist adventures without luggage. With no place to call home, he has lived remotely in a tent, walking and hitchhiking across Norway and much of Northern Europe. In 2015, whilst on a trip in Asia, Benjamin decided to send his small but traditional bag back to England. He has since travelled through Asia, Europe and South America with nothing but a bum bag. A unique experience became an online creative project in 2017. Following a goal to self-produce video content, Benjamin’s first collection of shorts ‘True Minimalist Travel’ reflects on his personal challenge of travelling around the world without possessions. Benjamin aims to examine the extent a traveller can have more freedom and flexibility by using ultralight systems to their advantage. a choice to live simply. learn more here: https://lostyetfree.wix.com/lostyetfree
