He has written (and continues to write) for the Chicago Reader and Chicago Sun-Times, and wrote the chapter on film in Art in Chicago: 1945-1995. He has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, University of Chicago, and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Born 1953.
