From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Christopher Goutman is an American soap opera producer, writer, actor, and director. He has played minor roles on Search for Tomorrow, Texas and The Edge of Night. After leaving acting, he began to direct on All My Children, As the World Turns, Guiding Light, and Another World. He was later the Executive Producer of Another World for seven months until its cancellation. After that he was hired to be the Executive Producer of "As the World Turns" which was subsequently canceled. Last air date was September 17, 2007. During the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike, he became the Head Writer of ATWT with Vivian Gundaker as his Co-Head Writer. He is married to actress Marcia McCabe, whom he met while he was on Search for Tomorrow.
