Biography

Born in suburban Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. As a youth, Corey was an avid reader and movie watcher. As a teen he made short films and skits with his friends and siblings around the neighborhood. Attended Harrisburg Arts Magnet School, where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Production on both sides of the camera, producing and anchoring programs on local ABC affiliate and cable-access channels. During this time he also wrote the teleplay "She Cried," which won a national Scholastic award. Though he held dozens of part-time jobs growing up, it was stints at Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video that helped inspire Corey's love of cinema. A Division I student athlete at Towson University on the Track and Cross Country teams, Corey majored in Mass Communication with a focus on Film Studies, while minoring in Theatre. While in the Baltimore/Washington area, Corey cut his teeth as an actor-model, performing in local films, commercials, and industrials. In 2000, the momentum of a recurring role on The WB Networks' "Young Americans," brought Corey to New York City, where he quickly earned roles on Law & Order: SVU, Third Watch, and in the film Mona Lisa Smile. Meanwhile, a passion project ensued, the experimental romance feature "True Dreams," which screened at several independent film festivals. Ultimately, success at his "day jobs" led to a career in event marketing and production, all the while reuniting Corey with his passion for running; first with Nike, then with New York Road Runners. He's since gone on to become an award-winning event producer for major brands like Apple, American Express, Google, Netflix, Samsung, Facebook, Instagram, and NBCUniversal.
