Biography

Jake Katofsky is an up-and-coming producer who focuses on promoting diverse filmmakers with moving character stories. He has worked in almost every role on a production across dozens of projects ranging from commercials to full features. In 2014, Jake worked as an assistant on LA Film Festival Best Picture Winner CUT!, and the following year co-wrote and produced a romantic comedy entitled 108 Stitches that had a limited theatrical run in 2014 and international distribution On Demand. A recent MFA graduate of the USC Peter Stark Producing Program, Jake has associate produced feature Live Cargo, starring Lakeith Stanfield, Dre Hemingway, and Robert Wisdom, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016. His short film, ASIA A, has begun to explode on the festival circuit having premiered at the Academy Qualifying LA International Shorts Festival in late July, as well as Hollyshorts, Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival, SCAD Film Festival, and was named a semi-finalist in the Student Academy Awards. Jake has three other shorts that look to have similar success in the festival circuit, and a growing slate of in development projects.
