Biography
Kyle Odefey grew up in the Greater Twin Cities area in Minnesota, forming a passion for media arts at a young age. His outgoing and charismatic attitude towards filmmaking led him to pursue Film Production as a career, taking him across America and Europe as early as 2015. In his time devoted to the arts, Odefey has become an award-winning filmmaker and freelance videographer driven to tell stories of all kinds. His short films Hotline (2019) and Dormscape (2019) won awards at the Thirteenth Annual South Dakota Film Festival, while other shorts such as Door Jam (2017), '79 (2018), and ANTE MERIDIEM (2019) have been showcased at festivals in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and New York, respectively. In 2018, Kyle created his own freelance videography company to develop and produce client-based projects. Odefey is an alumni of the National High School Institute Film and Video Program (2016) and is a current Senior at Minnesota State University Moorhead majoring in Film Production and minoring in Film Studies. He studied abroad at the University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom from January 2020 to March 2020.
