Biography
Steven Chow is a 1st generation Chinese New Zealander with over twenty years experience working as an editor in New Zealand as well as a stint in London. Steven’s work has seen him across a range of genres from commercials to documentaries to primetime factual shows. Steven is also a passionate filmmaker with a collection of festival short films. In 2018, Steven collaborated with Screentime NZ, participating in the Asian Pasifika telefeature initiative with The Only Son, currently being developed as a feature film through NZFC. In 2020, Steven completed his Master of Arts in Drama Directing at The University of Auckland with his thesis short film, Munkie, which will be released in 2021. Steven hopes to pivot into scripted drama with the focus for more Pan-Asian representation in front and behind the screen in Aotearoa.
