Biography
Winner Wijaya is an Indonesian filmmaker. He was born in Surabaya on August 8, 1995 and grew up in Malang. He likes to make films since the fifth grade of elementary school, because he was taught by his schoolteacher. Every weekend, together with his friends, make a movie with a MiniDV camcorder. They tried fun new things. Paint the house walls green for chroma keying, wear ghost masks, make weird stories, and so on. In 2020 graduated as a Bachelor of Arts from Multimedia Nusantara University majoring in Film. Now continuing his studies by taking master’s degree in Systematic Philosophy program at STFT Widya Sasana Malang. His film “Ojek Lusi” won best short documentary award in Festival Film Dokumenter 2017, nominated for Piala Citra, and has been screened at film festivals in more than 10 countries.
