Ka Ki presents during Mei Wah's birthday banquet though he is not really willing to attend. During the celebration, Ka Ki is insulted by the dispensary manager. He has a hard fight with him. Mei Wah displeases with his conduct. Ka Ki and Yuen Wai Kiu are good friends, Wai Kiu is a member of the triad gang and lives under blood and horror during his early years. He feels regretful and tries to step out from the triad. He then runs a garage to earn a living. Nevertheless, he still possesses the quality of a good leader. Taiwan millionaire's daughter, Yip Ling, losses her way in the street and meets a rascal. Kai Ki helps her to get rid of the rascal and brings her home. Yip Ling visits Tsang's home with her father and meets Kai Ki again. Yip Ling feels very surprise with Ka Ki's relationship with his family. Yip Ling, neglecting the obstruction from her parents, stealthily goes along with Ki. Once, when they are riding on a motor-cycle, Chien Wah pushes them down the hill and hurts Yip Ling. Ling's father is reluctant to see Ki destroying her daughter's future, requests Ki leaving Ling, Ki is self-abased and deter?mines to cut off any contact with Ling. Ka Ki is in the bad mood and wants Han Kong to drink with him at Kiu's home. Meanwhile, Wai Sum moves back home from the dormito?ry and finds that they have made her home a mess. She feels very angry. Wai Sum regards Ka Ki as the bad guy and opposes Wai Kiu to keep in contact with Ka Ki lest the latter would lead the former to step aside again. Ka Ki follows the Dispensary Manager and discovers his packing workshop for the counterfeited Korean ginseng. He then reports to the police and involves Chung Ching in a litigation. Fortu?nately, the Dispensary Manager takes all the responsibility upon himself and Chung Ching could then avoid the prosecution. The dispensary then gets a bad reputation for selling false ginseng. Ching Chung angers with Ka Ki and asks him to leave the family. Wai Kiu sympathizes Ka Ki and lets him stay in his home. Wai Sum dissatisfies with it. Hong Ting has sold his beloved Hi-Fi so as to gain enough money for helping Ka Ki to run a business of transportation. However, Ka Ki refuses to accept the money when he knows about that. Wai Sum has given Ka Ki's harmonica, which is given by Kam Fat, to somebody, Ka Ki feels very angry when he know about that. Wai Kiu sees that Ka Ki has become melancholy as he achieves nothing so far. The former then lends all his money prepared for marriage to the latter. Meanwhile, Winnie is pregnant and wants Kiu to marry her immediately. Wai Kiu excuses that he has no money and advises Winnie to hold a simple marriage ceremony. Winnie, in a towering passion, takes an abortion and departs with Kiu. Chien Wah takes the opportunity to pursue Winnie. Winnie eventu?ally falls for him. Chien Wah shows off before Kiu and strikes him a hard blow. Ka Ki is disgusted at Chien Wah's behaviour and plays tricks upon him for Kiu's sake. It leads Chien Wah to lose his face before the public. Chien Wah then sends his subordinate to burn Kiu's garage. Ka Ki knows about it and goes to see him. Instead of taking revenge, he is insulted by Wah. In order to avoid any trouble, Ki has to tolerate. Wai Kiu, hurries to have a great fight with Chien Wah to save Ki.… ...

Ka Ki participates in an illegal car-racing activity in order to help Wai Sum. He nearly dies for it. Wai Sum is greatly affected and the hostility towards Ki is thus lessened. She gradually falls in love for him. Wai Sum knows Kuen Sai Kit, a rich man, in the Sing-a-Long. They both loves music and Kit has a good impression on Sum who gets an attractive appearance. Sai Kit prefers to develop a career of his own on music. However, his father, Siu Hai, wants him to continue the family business and forces him to take the‧ business studies. Sai Kit secretly changes the course. His father stops him for doing that and conflicts between the two is thus created. Sai Kit, for the sake of Wai Sum, chats with Ka Ki and finds that he is pleasant and brave. Sai Kit treats Ki as his idols and respects him. They eventually become good friends.

23 April 1991 - Episode 7
Once, Han Kong has stolen the goods of the customer during their transportation. He doesn't know that the goods he has taken are illegal drugs. Cheung Pak Chung, a triad member, grasps Han Kong so as to get back the drugs. Ka Ki takes the drug to ransom Kong alone. When Chuan has got the drugs, he aims at killing the two. Fortunately, Chuan's boss, Siu Hai, arrives and stops him. Chuan is ambitious and aggressive. He hopes to replace Siu Hai. He is dissatisfied with the latter who gradually stops his ille?gal dealing. The relations between the two is thus worsened. Sai Kit introduces business for Ki and lets him doing transporta?tion for Siu Hai. When Ki meets Hai, he thinks that he is just being used to involve in illegal goods trafficking. Thus, he resolutely refuses Hai. When Ka Ki knows Kam Fat is still alive and lives in Macau. He immediately goes to find him. Eventually he finds him in a bar?ber. Kam Fat has witnessed a murder in the prison. The murderer, King Keung, is accused by his enemy. He misunderstands that it's Kam Fat who discloses the case. He swears that he will take revenge. After release, Kam Fat secretly lives in Macau and is eventually found by King Keung. Fat is then threatened by King Keung. Ka Ki, in order to take care Fat, takes him back to Hong Kong with him. When Fat has arrived Hong Kong, Po and Kong welcome him earnest?ly. Fat again feels the warmth of life. Mei Wah and Hong Ting meets Kam Fat in the street, but Mei Wah does not acknowledge him. Fat feels very sad about it. King Keung captures Kam Fat. Ka Ki reports to the police but is of no use. Therefore, he goes to save his father by himself.… ...

King Keung, with deep malice, asks Ka Ki to have a fight with him. Ki eventually conquers Keung. Siu Hai greatly appreciates Ki's bravery and invites Ki to help him. However, Ki politely refuses his good will. Ki thinks that he and Fat can then live happily together. However, Fat has caught a vital disease and is nearly to die. Ka Ki requests Mei Wah to see Kam Fat for the last time but Mei Wah refuses to see him. Ki has great hatred towards Wah, but Fat understands and forgives lher. Fat finally has died and Ki feels very painful and sad. When Ki brings Fat's ashes back to the crematorium in Macau, he meets Lam Siu Man. They talk a lot. However, Siu Man has an traffic accident and is injured. She is then being sent to the hospital. Ki sees that she is alone and decides to stay in Macau to look after her. Ki and Man, haven't take thought for the seriousness of their behaviour, fall for each other.… ...

Han Kong knows Yuk Yin through Wai Sum. They fall in love with each other immediately. Later, Yin is pregnant and they have to get marry as soon as possible. Han Kong for the sake of the marriage ceremony, borrows from the loan-shark to gamble. The loan-sharker then takes Ka Ki's van to compensate the loan. Ki forgives Kong. Siu Hai knows that Ki has some financial problem and again in?vites him to manage his night-club business. Ki accepts Hai's invitation but he claims they he won't deal with illegal deal?ings. He further claims that Po and Kong are not joining Hai. Wai Sum worries that Ki would step aside as her brother do. Ki guarantees that he would behave himself, but Wai Sum' expresses her doubt. Ka-Ki meets Siu_Man and would like to say Hello to her. However, she hides away from him. Hong Ting earnestly invites Ka Ki to his graduation ceremony so as to improve his relation with his parents. Ka Ki is very embarrassed when he sees Wah and Ching. Moreover, Wah and Ching are very surprised with Ki's charming--look. Hong Ting aims at joining the police force after graduation. Ching, spending his life for the dispensary, is reluctant to see nobody continuing his business. Mei Wah, in a towering passion, orders Ting to leave home. Ting temporarily lives in Ki's home. Ki encourages him. Wah eventually changes her mind and allows Ting to develop his goal. She persuades him to return home. Mei Wah rebukes Ki as she thinks that it's Ki who instigates Ting to be disobedient. Ki, in order to avoid trouble, keeps silent. Ki happens to know that Man is Siu Hai's mistress. Ki meets Man again and love feeling between the two again develops. They both understand that Siu Hai is their patron and dare not to love each other. Instead of controlling their affection, they fall in love with each other deeply. Pak Chuan deals with Big Circle Wing for some illegal dealing. He resorts Hai's strength to abuse Wing. Wing captures Man to threaten Chuan for compensation. Ki worries Man's safety and risks to rescue her. Man loves Ki more after his help. Siu Hai punishes Chuan by transferring all his business for Ki to manage. Chuan thus hates Ki more than before. Wai Sum discovers that Ki has some secret appointment with Man and asks Ki the details. Ki frankly tells Sum their relation. Sum feels very disappointed. Siu Hai suspects Man and Ki's relation. He deliberately arranges Man to study aboard. Ki and Man are regretful after they have embarked. Therefore, they decide to see siu Hai and beg him letting them together. Siu Hai intents to take revenge at the beginning. However, seeing them love each other deeply, he bears the pain and gives them a chance. On one hand, he demands Ki to stay with him and manage his illegal business for two years. On the other hand, Hai request Man to settle down in Hawaii so as to avoid any gossiping. Ki promises him. Sum feels happy and also jealous when she sees Man and Ki eventually could live together. Moreover, she worries about Ki who is now involved in the triad business. Pak Chuen is very jealous when he knows Ki and Man are in love with each other. It is because he do have some bad intention towards Man all along. He even has sexual relation with Man. He does not want Man to leave and incommodes her all around. Ki is grievous and painful when he got the news of Man's death. He then dissipates his grief by getting drunk. Wai Sum sympathies him and consoles him. Siu Hai understands Ki's feeling and is willing to let him free. Therefore, he can stop managing the illegal business. Hai also understands that Sai Kit is interest in music and thus decides to send him to study music aboard. However, Sai Kit is reluctant to leave Hong Kong and refuses. Later, he accepts his father's good will after Ki's persuasion. Kit takes the opportunity to express his love towards Sum before leaving Hong Kong. However, Sum manifests that she has already fallen in love with somebody else and rejects him in a round about way. Kit feels very disappointed. Siu Hai discovers Chuan has cheated him and forces him to pay the debts within a week. Instead of obeying Hai, he plots together with King Keung to kill Hai.

Hai is attacked by King Keung's subordinates. Hai is seriously ?injured and is being sent to the hospital. He asks Ki to take care Sai Kit and do not let him step into the triad business. he also requests Ki helping him to manage his triad business before he dies. Sai Kit is very sad after his father's death. He swears that he must take revenge for his father. Ki impedes Kit lest the latter would destroy his future. Chuan is dissatisfied with Ki who has become the triad leader. He then instigates the elder triad members, such as Wong Kam Sing, to boycott Ki. Fortunately, Ki is humble and honest all along, therefore, he wins the favour of the gang members and his position could then be strengthened. Hong Ting, who has joined the police, knows Ki has secretly managed the triad business. He persuades Ki to stop. Ki fools Ting around. King Keung cannot get his reward after working for Chuan. He then entangles Chuan.… ...

Sai Kit suspects Ki's intention when he knows that it’s Ki who reports to the police. Kit hates Ki very much and refuses to defence. He then is being sentenced for two years imprisonment. Chuan demands Ki to divide the property. Ki then gives all the Food and Beverage Business to Chuan. Chuan does not accept this suggestion and even plots against Ki to seize Hai's property. Chuan even lies to Kit that Ki has usurped Hai’s property and gets Kit into the prison. Kit believes him and hates Ki more. Hong Ting searches Ki's business house and clears up many illegal gambling-house. Wong Kam Sing knows Ting is Ki's brother and blames Ting too stringent. However, Ki understands that Ting is a new appointed inspector and he has to perform. Therefore, Ki vindicates for Ting. The police suspects Ki has involved in illegal-drug trafficking and sends Ting to investigate Ki. This puts Ting into a dilemma.

Sai Kit is a spoilt child and he is being insulted and played by other prisoners. This makes Ki feel very desolate. Wai Sum eventually becomes quite famous in the musical field. She is then recruited by a recording company as it's potential promoted singer. When Wai Sum has known Ki is the backroom man of the recording company, she refuses to accept his sympathy. Later, Sum could understand Ki's good intention after Po Yee explaining the case. Ki is very depressed and Sum consoles him. The relation between the two has improved a lot. However, Ki understands that Kit loves Sum all along and dare not to compete with him. Ki then tries his best to suppress his affection and this makes them very painful. After Kit has released, Chuan takes the opportunity to instigate Kit hating Ki and asks Kit to get back his business.… ...

Sai Kit has suffered few blows. These makes him very prejudicial and cool. Ki witnesses this with grief and pain. Chuan leads a group of subordinates to attack Ki. Sum comes on time to stop it. Kit sees Sum risk her life to save Ki and feels very jealous. Chuan takes the chance to agitate Kit hating Ki who has captured his love one. Kit again expresses his love feeling towards Sum. However, Sum frankly explains that she loves Ki only. The news come like a bolt from the blue for Kit and he determines to compete with Ki. Chuan tempts Wong Kam Sing to involve in the drug trafficking. However, Ki stops him and Sing feels very displeased. Chuan then seizes the opportunity to create an opposed force against Ki. Hong Ting intermixes with Chuan's group and has grasped the evidence of Chuan's illegal dealing. Ting further indicates Ki to stop his illegal business. However, Ki has no other alternative.

Chuan discovers Ting is a police and utilizes him to eliminate the elder members of the triad. Chuan even imputes the fault to Ki. Chuan again makes mischief to Ki before Kit so as to force Ki to give up his position. Ki then returns the business to Kit so as to avoid trouble. The police suspects Ki is the backroom man of the triad murder case and arrests him. Chuan has sent killer to kill Ki before Ki leaves Hong Kong. Sum, risks her life to save Ki from the shot. Eventually she is seriously injured. Ki is deeply affected by her sincerity and determines to share his life with her. Chuan has found Ki's hidden place and sends his subordinates to eliminate Han Kong and Ki's group.

Ki and Chuan have a hard fight with each other. Ki iS eventually shot and falls into the sea. Sum witnesses this with pain and sorrow. Chuan wants to kill Sum so as to keep Ki's case a secret. Kit takes good care of Sum but she is not affected at all. Sum worries for Ki as there has no news from him. She hates Chuan deeply and goes to assassinate him alone. She fails and is insulted by Chuan. Kit gets back the business and would like to perform himself. However, Chuan has eventually usurped Kit's business. Kit is then degenerated as a street wanderer and is too late to regret. Sum then concentrates on her career as a singer and hopes to use her songs to awaken Ki .
