CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD Season 5

Synopsis

One day, six cards known as the "Six Desires" were born with the power to change fate. Six fighters were chosen, and would come to possess those six cards. What awaited them was the "Fated Clash," where they would fight each other until the end, and the last one standing would have any wish granted. A youth named Akina Myodo, who wants to help his frail sister, participates in the Fated Clash to have his wish granted. And thus, he throws himself into battles with powerful fighters.

Episode 1

13 January 2024 - Fated One of Miracles

One day, a youth named Akina Myodo from Kanazawa, Kaga, obtains a mysterious card after experiencing a vision of planet Cray. That card is proof that he has been chosen as the Fated One of Miracles and an invitation to the "Fated Clash," where the last one standing can have their wish granted.

20 January 2024 - Fated Clash

With the knowledge that Hikari's illness may be cured if he is the last one standing in the "Fated Clash", Akina gains a sense for Vanguard under the tutelage of Nao, his senior from his part-time job. However, as if his line of thinking was foreseen, Gabwelius appears before Akina once more.

27 January 2024 - Unparalleled and Miracles

First round of the Fated Clash is set at the spiritual ground, Hakusan. The Fated Ones facing off are Unparalleled vs. Miracles. A sudden match between the apprentice and the master, Akina and Nao. Nao exhibits unparalleled strength, aiming to be a pro-fighter. Does Akina stand a chance?

03 February 2024 - An Idol's Afternoon

The perfect idol Mikoto is currently on hiatus and hooked on Net Vanguard. Joining an offline meeting, Akina witnesses the fight between Megumi and Mikoto. Meanwhile, the masked person comes into contact with Suo Yobitsugi.

09 February 2024 - The Guiding Star of Ever-changing

It's the second round of the Fated Clash, and for some reason, Mikoto's opponent Taizo Kiyokura knows about Akina, and even visits Hikari in hospital. The fight begins, and while Taizo praises Mikoto's effort, he also remarks that he "can't see her self in her fights".

16 February 2024 - Reckless Wings

Akina faces off against Taizo in the third round of the Fated Clash. Taizo's confidence remains unshaken despite his consecutive battles, as giving his best at all times is his style as a pro-fighter. Recognizing the difference in skill, Akina bets on the "one in a hundred" chance and fights with all his might.

02 March 2024 - Towards the Stormy Day

The quiet and emotionless boy Suo Yobitsugi shares with Akina about his painful past as the pair pass a stormy night in town. Meanwhile, as Masanori starts questioning Gabwelius about the true aim of the Fated Clash, Shinobu appears to challenge him to a showdown.

09 March 2024 - Maiden's Reverie

Nao participates in the "Rising Dragon Cup" Vanguard tournament. Her opponent Mondo Kirishima is a powerful pro-fighter who made a comeback to show his son how fights should be done, but Nao is giving it her all as well. Who will emerge victorious?!

16 March 2024 - Taboo Upon Zero

It is the third round of the Fated Clash, with Suo standing on the Hakusan stage. Masanori attempts to bewilder his opponent, but Suo remains unfazed. An unexpected development occurs in the fight between Zero and Taboo. What exactly does Suo desire from the Fated Clash?

23 March 2024 - The Seventh Wish

The shocking revelation of the true identity of the masked person. The reason for her various actions in the Fated Clash, as well as the mystery of the supposedly nonexistent "Seventh Fated One," are now unveiled. If the final clash were to take place, all that awaits is destruction. What decision will Akina make with this knowledge?

30 March 2024 - Siblings

Will it be Akina or Hikari who changes fate? Their resolves clash right before the final showdown. With Gabwelius watching as the one who created what started everything, Hikari's "Fated One of Time, Liael=Amorta" finally appears. Which of them will win and change the future!

13 April 2024 - The Fated Moment

It's the final battle of the Fated Clash. If Akina wins, Hikari's illness will be cured, and Suo will be saved from the void. Akina is determined to change the future. With the owners of the Fated Ones looking on, the last fight between the fate of Miracles and Zero begins!

Episode 13

20 April 2024 - A Sliver of Light

Right as it seems that everything will return to Zero, the seventh Fated One's card that Hikari brought saves Akina from his pinch! "Even though it's just a glimmer of hope, a miracle will descend upon those who reach out their hand". Can the future actually be changed!?
