A family tells the tragic story of the UK's first crash-for-cash fatality. A prisoner tries to cash in from behind bars, two fraudsters see their scam melt away when they post ice cubes in an attempt to defraud Royal Mail, and Thames Valley Police raid a business address in the hunt for a suspected crash-for-cash ring.

A fireman goes from hero to zero when he is caught red-handed in an arson insurance fraud. A criminal's attempts to scam the state see him locked up for longer, an insurance claimer is trapped when he says a rat stole his mobile phone, and IFED raids the homes of suspected car insurance fraudsters.

A 'riotous' fraudster hopes the civil unrest of 2011 will pay for a new launderette. A policy holder thinks she can claim on her travel insurance when she hasn't even left her front doorstep, and two bus passengers think a small knock will pay out big. Meanwhile, Thames Valley Police get tough as they knock down the door of a suspected major insurance scammer.

A holidaymaker hopes his travel insurance will give him a new designer wardrobe, and an online seller thinks her first class scam will see Royal Mail pay out hundreds in insurance claims. The Insurance Fraud Enforcement department tackles a suspected car insurance scammer with an early morning raid.

A fake death certificate exposes a fraudster's elaborate plan to cash in from the grave. An accidental fire is shown to be anything but in a business insurance claim, and CCTV exposes the lies one person tells in an attempt to cash in from a bus company. Thames Valley Police continue the hunt for a group of suspected car insurance fraudsters.

Facebook is the undoing of a fraudster who claims to have lost a £20,000 engagement ring while abroad in Rio. A fishy story about a mobile phone lost overboard is soon exposed, and a ruse to claim for several lost laptops ends badly when investigators discover the fake receipts literally do not add up. The City of London police's insurance fraud enforcement department decide to tackle travel insurance fraud with a series of nationwide raids.

A royal attempt to scam the postal service of thousands of pounds ends with a jail sentence, and one insurance claimer goes overboard with his story of damage to his beloved yacht. Rather than pay thousands of pounds of congestion charges, one woman hopes that once the bailiffs have her car, she can report it stolen and get her insurance company to pay out. The insurance fraud enforcement department decides to tackle travel insurance fraud head-on with a series of nationwide raids.

After feeling under par, a golf professional sees his fake insurance claim land him in the rough, the asset protection unit are forced to steal back what is rightfully theirs in an undercover snatch back and Thames Valley police continue to clamp down hard on suspected crash for cash gangs.

A London bus company brings in the Metropolitan Police to tackle a crash for cash scammer. A fraudster's lies are exposed on his Facebook site when he tells his mates where his bracelet was really lost. An insurance company becomes suspicious when the exact same photos are used to claim for a broken TV several years later, and the insurance fraud enforcement department embark on an exhaustive cat-and-mouse game in the hunt for a suspected car insurance fraudster.

A shameless father-and-son duo tries to trip up the council with a fake personal injury claim, but a 999 call soon exposes their lies. A woman's attempt to exaggerate a personal injury claim shows why the UK is the 'whipcash' capital of Europe, and a perpetual claimer is left out in the cold when he claims his fridge freezer is broken one too many times. The insurance fraud enforcement department returns to haunt a greedy ghost broker.
