Dancing with the Stars Season 3

Synopsis

Local celebrities in New Zealand try out their dancing shoes in this Kiwi version of the popular show Strictly Come Dancing, that pairs celebrities with professional dancers. They have to complete different types of dancing such as Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Paso Doble, Rumba and Samba. The judges and the audience vote on the couples performances and then the team with the least number of scores is eliminated until only two couples remain. The final two will then have to compete against each other in order to win Dancing with the Stars.

Episode 1

10 April 2007 - Episode 1

Eight celebrities and their professional partners prepare for another season in order to take home the title of Dancing with the stars.

Episode 2

17 April 2007 - Episode 2

The eight couples have another chance to impress the judges and the public before the first elimination, performing the Quickstep or the Rumba in their attempt to avoid elimination while trying to win the competition. In the end, the first couple was sent home.

Episode 3

24 April 2007 - Episode 3

The seven remaining couples have to perform either the Tango or the Jive in the third round to impress the judges and the home viewers. And the second couple is eliminated from the competition.

Episode 4

01 May 2007 - Episode 4

Tonight the six remaining couples will be dancing either the Foxtrot or the Paso Doble as a third pair is eliminated.

Episode 5

08 May 2007 - Episode 5

All five couples are performing the party-flavored Samba and a Group Swing Waltz.

Episode 6

15 May 2007 - Episode 6

It is the quarter-finals and the four remaining couples must perform a Latin and a Ballroom dance they have not previously performed from the past five weeks.

Episode 7

22 May 2007 - Episode 7

The contestants and their partners had to perform two dances hey have not yet danced on the show. This week, Suzanne & Stefano are performing the Waltz and the Paso Doble, Brendon & Hayley are dancing the Rumba and the Tango and Megan & Jonny are doing the Jive and the Cha Cha Cha, plus the last elimination takes place.

Episode 8

29 May 2007 - Episode 8

The two finalists will perform their favorite Ballroom and Latin dances of the season. Suzanne & Stefano will dance the Tango and the Cha Cha Cha while Megan & Jonny will dance the Quickstep and the Rumba and both are doing their Freestyles, plus the winner of the third season of Dancing With The Stars is announced.
