There is a terrible murder case in this strange society. The victim was chopped into pieces.The victim was chopped into pieces without the head and the abdomen. It is difficult to recognize its identity. Sergeant CHEUNG TAI YUNG and cop LEE CHUNG YEE are responsible for this difficult case. The coroner KONG YU HIM draws a conclusion according to the finger characteristics and believes that the victim is a thirty—years old nurse, LEE MAN FONG, wife of businessman CHOW CHUN KIT. The police starts a thorough investigation. They suspect three persons : Mr. CHOW, FONG’s lover Dr. CHOW and Mr. CHOW's mistress, DAISY. The motive for the murder is either sentimental factor, regarding money or for revenge. What is the truth?

14 March 1995 - Episode 2
The police proves that the victim is actually not LEE MAN FONG. HIN is neglectful of his job. The police finds out that KIT is in financial difficulty. He and his wife set up a plot to cheat the caution money. Unexpectedly, he indirectly puts his wife to death. YUNG finds out that the victim is actually, CHAN CHOI LING, also thirty-two years old. She was killed by KIT and his wife. Meanwhile, FONG’s dead body is found. There is KIT's finger—print on the murderous weapon. KIT then becomes one of the suspect. The police finds out that KIT is not the real murderer after thorough investigation. In fact, DAISY had followed KIT. She found that KIT's wife was still alive. She was very jealous as KIT had cheated her. She then killed KIT's wife.

15 March 1995 - Episode 3
Heaven's vengeance is slow but sure. The police report finds that DAISY's watch was stained with FONG’s blood. DAISY knows that she has failed to conceal the truth. She confesses that she is the murderer. The case is eventually cleared.YUNG's girlfriend KO GIT (reporter of the Fax Truth Magazine). She had once reported a case regarding drug dealing at TSE WAN SHAN. A drug addict, CHEUNG, threatens GIT a few times. YUNG warns CHEUNG not to bother GIT. GIT could then get rid of the trouble. GIT likes YUNG more after this incident.YEE and YE go to he Lobster Bay flying kite. One the way they hear a man shouting for help. They hurry to the spot and find that the man is pierced by an arrow. He is bleeding terribly. The man tells them that he was shot by the ‘Angel’ before he died.

16 March 1995 - Episode 4
The police finds out that the victim is SAM, a special reporter who is an expert in disclosing the famous people's privacy. He then extorts money from those people. The police believes that the motive for the murder is for revenge. The police sends YUNG and YEE to investigate the case. They find a bank pass book stating a recent deposit amount to hundred and fifty thousand dollars. They also find that the 'Angel' is actually a nightclub girl, ANGEL. YEE is ordered to look over her twenty-four hours a day. In order to get rid of the police, ANGEL disguises as a pregnant woman. She is crashed down by a car when she tries to escape away. She is seriously inured. She tells the police that she was extorted for hundred and fifty thousand dollars for concealing the fact that she had crashed her ex-boy friend to death. The police knows that she is not the murderer. They got some clue from SAM's watchman. They suspect YE.… ...

17 March 1995 - Episode 5
YEE discovers that YE had withdrawn hundred fifty thousand dollars. The date she withdrew the money was the same day SUM deposited the money. YEE also finds a photo with the image that YE is darting an arrow. The police suspects YE. They start a thorough investigation on YE.YE arranges to go to the Lobster Island with YEE. YUNG and CHIT follow them by car. YE arrives the destination earlier than YEE. She arranged everything in the female toilet before YEE arrives. They witness YE who is trying to shot YEE. They shot YE so as to stop her. YEE jumps forward to rescue the murderer. She then knows more about the case. He follows YE's elder sister to a children centre. He is shocked to find out that this centre named ‘Angel’.
Episode 6
20 March 1995 - Episode 6
YUNG finds out that the handicapped children at 'Angel Children Centre’ were all victims of the prohibited medicine 'Aldalin'. Meanwhile, YE's statement stated that her elder sister had taken this medicine which made her given birth to a handicapped baby. This in turn destroyed her marriage. The victim, SUM, had extorted money from her. YE thus killed SUM for redemption. YE's elder sister has eventually told her current husband the truth. They give statement at court in the hope of mitigating YE's charge. The case has eventually come to an end. YEE and YUNG and CHIN's girlfriend go to the Lantan Island to visit the Buddhist Statue. YUNG has taken the wrong knapsack. Later, he receives a phone call from a mysterious woman who wants to get back her knapsack. YUNG goes to meet this woman according to her instruction. Unexpectedly, he finds that the owner of this knapsack had been died a year ago.

21 March 1995 - Episode 7
YEE and YUNG check the old file. They find out that the victim named MEI. She committed suicide a year ago together with her boyfriend, HON, who is a foreigner. YEE and YUNG inspect the satchel. They discover a letter which was written by MEI to FUNG (who had died 5 years ago). It depicts how they were persecuted by Butterfly. YEE and YUNG even receive a call front MEI’s spirit. She implores them to clear the case for her. They find out that both FUNG and HON did have an affair with a rich lady, TING, who has married.FUNG is the member of the Butterfly Club. He had been fallen in love with TING. FUNG had fell down from a cliff and died five years ago when he tried to catch a butterfly. HON is TING’s subordinate. CHIT is asked to investigate TING. YEE and YUNG go to MEI's school for some hints. They find out that MEI and CHIT are classmates. CHIT's plot is unveiled.

22 March 1995 - Episode 8
CHIT tells them that MEI was killed by TING as she has an affair with ON (TING’s husband). YEE and YUNG does not believe CHIT’s words. They further investigate. They apply for reading MEI and HON’s coroner’s report. They find out that MEI and HON had taken too much sleeping pills. Besides, MEI was strangled by a tie and HON hanged himself on the tree. The spot was a villa belonged to Hon's good friend. HON always went there with a mature lady. Moreover, a child states that MEI was a new face to him and she rarely went there. This indicates that MEI is not HON's real girlfriend. Moreover, LAI had also been to Japan five years ago. It is claimed that FUNG tried to catch a special butterfly and unfortunately fell down from the cliff. TING is the only witness. However, LAI finds out that the kind of special butterfly had already extinct as the kind of special bean which those butterflies depended on was in shortage.

23 March 1995 - Episode 9
YEE and YUNG read TING’s testimony. They find out that the day they died was her wedding anniversary. ON is the only time witness for TING. He proves that he was with TING to celebrate their anniversary. KEE (TING’s secretary) Stated that HON had called TING a several times that day. He lost his temper and claimed that TING had cheated him. YUNG finds a picture painted a butterfly with the help from a villa keeper. HON had once wanted to give it to a friend but he kept it for himself at the end. YUNG discovers the alphabet‘ J4E’ from the picture. He even knows that HON likes to sleep on a hanging bed. The child from the village picks sonic tore off pieces of the hanging bed. They reckon that TING and HON were secret lovers. TING sets a plot to destroy the two so as to maintain her reputation.

24 March 1995 - Episode 10
YEE and YUNG do not have enough time to appeal. CHIT does not give up. She meets ON when she is visiting MEI’s tomb. She follows him and finds that he had secluded in a villa at the suburban area. CHIT dresses herself up similar to MEI in order to win ON's favour. She soon becomes ON’s friend and wins his trust. She finds that TING killed the two was out of jealousy. She married ON for the sake of wealth. ON and TING do not love each other. Till ON meets MEI he finds real love. ON was made drunk by TING on that night. YUNG has no courage to disclose the truth. CHIT pretends to be MEI’s spirit and writes letter to TING. She claims that she will take revenge. She even sends TING the small piece of HON’s hanging bed.

27 March 1995 - Episode 11
CHIT is happy to see TING so frightened. She even arranges to interview her. TING agrees to meet CHIT at the Butterfly Villa. Unexpectedly, TING threatens CHIT with a pistol. In fact, TING her sent a private detective to investigate CHIT. She sees through CHIT’s plot. She also knows that CHIT always contact her husband. TING is very angry. Fortunately, ON, YUNG and YEE follow CHIT. They arrive in time. TING flees away frightenedly. Consequently, she dies in a car crash. CHIT could eventually take revenge for her good friends. YUNG is assigned to arrest to arrest an escaped criminal. He eventually arrests this criminal in a villa at Sai Kung Simultaneously, he discloses HIN’s secret affair with woman. CHIT’s wedding plan thus calls off.

28 March 1995 - Episode 12
A nightclub girl, MEI's, dead body was found at her own apartment. The police finds an obscene video-cassette tape. Unexpectedly, the male protagonist is Inspector FUNG's husband, LAI. The coroner's report shows that MEI’s rib were chopped, her back was shot an her head was hit by something hard and causes a crush at her head bone. Moreover, she was being poisoned. LAI disappears. The murder weapon got LAI’s finger-print. However, there is also a left-hand finger-print belonged to another people. YUNG finds the mamasan for more information. He then knows that MEI always went out with a drug addict, TSUEN. They even set plot to trick the nightclub customers. Later, MEI was sacked. TSUEN was chopped to death by his debtors. MEI then becomes very rich.

29 March 1995 - Episode 13
LAI backs to Hong Kong from Macau. He is soon being arrested. His testimony states that he met MEI who claimed that she was sick. She begged LAI to take her home. Unexpectedly, MEI puts some pill on LAI's coffee in a restaurant. She even arranged to have an affair with LAI. She then extorted two hundred thousand from LAI. LAI was so shocked that he hit MEI with a copper statue and left. LAI claims that he then wandered around in the street after this incident. Therefore, he does not have any time witness. LAI is then being detained. The police finds three more obscene video-cassette tapes at MEI’s safe-box at a bank. They arrest those three victims, FU, MING and Hei. They all got witness to prove their innocence.

30 March 1995 - Episode 14
The police suspects the three are in league. The police then arranges the three to stay alone. However, they eventually find out that they really do not know one another. The police discovers that HEI's wife was scratched by somebody. Simultaneously, the victim also got some skin fibre. The report proves that the skin fibre matches HEI’s wife's skin fibre. The police follow HEI’s wife. Unexpectedly, the police finds that HEI's wife is meeting FU and MING’s wives. The police immediately arrests them. The police also knows that a chemical factory has sold some poison to HEI’s wife. The three have no more excuse. They disclose the truth as well as their grievance. The victim not only extorted money from them, she even insulted the three defendants. The three defendants eventually could not controlled their temper and attacked the victim with a poisoned needle, a knife and a pistol.

31 March 1995 - Episode 15
They were being prosecuted. However, the real murderer was the one who hit her hindbrain. CHIT interviews a mamasan. She by chance knows that the victim are going to sell a stolen red-diamond. YUNG investigates and eventually find that KEUNG is the buyer. YUNG goes to KEUNG’s home to arrest him. KEUNG flees away in time. YUNG searches his home thoroughly. He gets KEUNGs finger-print sample which is identical to the finger-print on the copper statue. Moreover, the sole of a blood-stained rubber shoe also matches with the murdering spot footmark. The police wants KEUNG with hundred thousand dollars reward. The police eventually arrest KEUNG. KEUNG admits that he is fond of gambling He saw that the victim was seriously injured by the time he met her. The victim was unwilling to lend him money. He is so angry that he attacked the victim with a copper statue. He stole the diamond bracelet and left. KEUNG is being charged of murderer.

03 April 1995 - Episode 16
MAN (CHIT’s elder sister) is a retired singer. She has married a millionaire, CHIU. They have a daughter, TONG. However, CHIU is born very suspicious. He always suspects TONG who is not his flesh and blood child. Thus, he is very cool to TONG. MAN’s old lover, CHOR, backs to Hong Kong from overseas. He wants to recover the old relation with MAN. It soon becomes the hot-gossiping issue of the press. MAN and TONG quarrel with each other. MAN and her mother, KUEN, set a plot to kidnap TONG. They aim to test CHIU and see how much does CHIU love TONG. Unexpectedly, TONG is really being kidnapped. The kidnapper asks for over thirty million ransom. YUEN (CHIU’s younger brother) manages his business in Indonesia. In fact, he is always controlled by CHIU. He always tries to convince him selling his share to his girlfriend’s father but is in vain. Time is tight. CHIU has no other alternative.… ...

04 April 1995 - Episode 17
CHIU hands the ransom to the kidnappers by himself. He has not yet backed. FAI was being charged of destroying CHIU’s property two days ago. It is because FAI's wife and daughter was died of accident at CHIU’s site. However, he does not receive any reasonable compensation. CHIU does not show up to the police station to identify the criminal. YUNG then goes to CHIU’s home and discovers the kidnapping case. YUNG and YUEN hurry to the empty flat to find CHIU. They find that CHIU was dead and the ransom lost. The coroner's report shows that CHIU was chopped to death. FAI is the major suspect. The police finds out that FAI is actually not the real murderer. FAI met an car accident when the murder case was happening. He has became insane after the car crash.
Episode 18
05 April 1995 - Episode 18
YUNG persuades MAN to disclose the case to the public and set up a hotline to receive more information. He even plans to have money reward for any information provided for clearing up the case.Soon there is some news form a citizen. This citizen states that he witness CHOR who let the spot secretly with bloodstain. The police checks CHOR’s record and find out the he is a retired singer. He has become bankrupt and has got divorce. He then backed to Hong Kong. The police installs a voice detector at CHOR's hotel room. They watch him closely. They find that he always dates MAN. The police then send some cops to watch MAN. Soon they discover that CHOR arranges MAN to meet TONG at Cheung Chau. The police follows them to Cheung Chau. The cops eventually find CHOR’s dead body after encountering a lot of difficulties.
Episode 19
06 April 1995 - Episode 19
The flat was sealed for inspection. They find some smoked cigarette filters, some long hair, TONG’s bracelet and an ear-ring. The hair and ear-ring are belonged to MAN. MAN is interrogated. She gives testimony stating that CHOR will only release TONG with the condition that she left Hong Kong . YUEN is the only person who knew the case. She goes to Cheung Chau to pick TONG up according to CHOR’s instruction. However, she waits for a long time and cannot meet them. The police checks YUEN’s background and finds that he is an illegitimate child. Thus, he only receives one-ten of the family property and wealth. YUEN could inherit all family property and wealth if CHIU died. The brand of the cigarette filter at the spot also matches with YUEN's used brand. Soon YUEN's girlfriend, NEI, reports to the police and asks for protection. She unveils the truth. She had helped YUEN to kidnap TONG. Later, she found that CHOR was dead.… ...

07 April 1995 - Episode 20
NEl also tells that TONG has already fainted at her home. The police hurries to the spot to save TONG. Simultaneously, CHIT suspects YUEN. She slips into his flat and check for NEI’s address at his telephone book. She then hurried to NEI’s flat. YUEN also suspects CHIT who has had checked NEI's address at his flat. Thus, he also hurries to NEI's flat with the aim to kill TONG so as to cover the truth. YUEN brings TONG away with him. The police eventually arrests YUEN after a fierce chase. However, he does not tell the police TONG’ location. The police discloses the nevus to the public. MAN implores YUEN to tell her TONG’s whereabouts. YUEN refuses. However, YUEN is filled with remorse. In order to satisfy his conscience, he tells them that TONG is hidden in a container. YUNG could eventually rescue TONG who is nearly died.
