Whilst FUNG CHEE returns the proposal to the advertising company, she meets with KWOK LEUNG there. Fortunately, he is tactful enough to disguise. FUNG CHEE wants to return the proposal to the owner but it mistakenly falls into the hands of CHEUK YAN who seeks rewards from the company. This is making HAY TONG vary furious. FUNG CHEE understands and apologizes for her bringing trouble for HAY TUNG. CHAN KIN and SIU KUEN had quarrels about their children's wedding some years ago. They now become trivial enemies. CHI MAN takes MEI PO to play in the street. They meet with KIT YING. He gets to know their relationship as mother and daughter. He understands KIT YING has to bring up her daughter all alone by herself since the departure of her husband. He feels pity for her. CHEUK YAN gets known that a big customer is coming to town. He wants to prove his ability at the absence of HEY TUNG. Unexpectedly, YUEN CHI is taking the same plane back to Hong Kong as HAY TUNG. HAY TUNG tries to get close to her and is able to obtain the chance of cooperation. Thus, she proves her ability to CHEUK YAN. STELLA takes gambling as seriously as her first life. FUNG CHEE treats HAY TUNG as her very dear friend and tells her about her husband's disloyality. This makes HAY TUNG feel shameful but still she cannot give up KWOK LEUNG. In order to expand his investments in Mainland China, KWOK LEUNG is forced to mortgage both his factory and flat to the bank. This is great pressure for him. FUNG CHEE cannot act as if nothing happens in front of KWOK LEUNG so she tries to avoid him. KWOK LEUNG feels there must be something behind her so he tries to find out from her. FUNG HEE can bear no more and speak frankly to him about his mistress. However, KWOK LEUNG still has not had any intention of withdrawal. This is done to destroy HAY TUNG’s relationship with some big customers. Though HAY TUNG expresses her anger, she still stays with her job. FUNG CHEE seeks legal aids to calculate the total assets of KWOK LEUNG. However, she discovers there is no money left behind him as his business has been really bad and what he possesses now is just the small flat which is under the names of KWOK LEUNG and HAY TUNG. FUNG CHEE has no alternative but to sue HAY TUNG at the court. In order to contest with HAY TUNG, the CHAN’s family even moves into HAY TUNG’s flat. Serious rivalry arouses. Though FUNG CHEE and HAY TUNG show severe disagreements, they have to force themselves to face each other. These enemies suffer a lot mentally and are rather exhausted. HAY TUNG requests to solve the problem with FUNG CHEE out of the court. She intends to retain the whole flat and to compensate FUNG CHEE in terms of money. However, FUNG CHEE has now become rather doubtful and is lack of confidence since the great disaster. For the sake of safety she thinks she should get hold of some fixed assets instead of cooperating with HAY TUNG. The story is HAY TUNG and JUNG CHUNG had some arguments after their marriage. HAY TUNG was unwilling to suffer from her marriage. She even had an abortion secretly. JUNG CHUNG was furious when he got known of it. After divorce, JUNG CHUNG started to study law in the evening school and has become a lawyer now. HAY TUNG feels sick and goes to the doctor. She is proved to be pregnant. She is confused. FUNG CHEE finds a job at a boutique. Since she is busy with her family, she cannot concentrate on her job. Thus, her boss's wife complains about her. FUNG CHEE seeks help from her lawyer in order to achieve the ownership of the flat. Incidentally, she meets with JUNG CHUNG in the legal firm. She admires him very much and thus asks for his professional ideas. JUNG CHUNG thinks FUNG CHEE has good sense and therefore introduces her to work at KAN JIN KONG's legal firm.

JING CHUNG learns from KIT YING that HAY TUNG is somebody's mistress. He is very disappointed at her bad character. HAY TUNG gets known YUK JING's son, SHEK YAN, is wounded at Shenzhen and is now in the hospital. She rushes to bring him back to Hong Kong. JING CHUNG mistakenly thinks she goes for an abortion in Shenzhen. He even scolds her as irresponsible but HAY TUNG doesn't explain anything. In fact, after thorough thinking, HAY TUNG decides to face the reality and to keep the baby. She will bring her child up and face the great pressure. FUNG CHEE gets known HAY TUNG is pregnant and will have KWOK LEUNG's baby soon. She is feeling both happy and jealous. She thinks HAY TUNG is really brave and admires her. FUNG CHEE unintendedly discovers the relationship between JING CHUNG and HAY TUNG. She thinks they are connected in some way and is very angry. Later on, JING CHUNG explains his situation and promises FUNG CHEE he will find another lawyer. FUNG CHEE appreciates him very much. JING CHUNG sympathizes for FUNG CHEE's situation and always encourages her to start all over again. KIT YING doesn't get along well with her father. JING CHUNG takes KIT YING home and on their way he tries to smooth the relationship between KIT YING and her father. However, KIT YING runs away in anger. KIT YING is forced by her enemies. CHI MAN looks for SHEK YAN to help KIT YING. This induces the two gangs to fight against one another. JING CHUNG pretends to be the police in order to calm down the situat.ion. During the fight, CHI MAN gets his arm wounded carelessly. After her marriage, FUNG CHEE has not had any official working experience. She is feeling rather nervous to get back to the working society after a period of more than ten years. However, she succeeds eventually. JING CHUNG tries hard to arrange KIT YING to move back to the TSUI's family. Unfortunately, KIT YING and CHEUNG FAT hate each other very much and quarrels arise frequently in the family. HAY TUNG, CHOY JUNG and WING YAN get along for quite some time. Since they are open to one another, good friendship is established among them. However, FUNG CHEE cannot bear to see them as she thinks HAY TUNG is too proud of her pregnancy. She is rather jealous.

Besides being pressed by heavy workload, FUNG CHEE is very busy with her family matters. She almost gets a nerves breakdown. Fortunately, her family are very understanding and are trying hard to relieve her burden. SIU KUEN and WING YAN help to do the household and they leave nothing unturned in the flat. SIU KUEN feels pity seeing FUNG CHEE is selling off her jewelleries in order to support their living. She also admires her tact in talking the customers into buying sundries from her and the results are excellent. CHI MAN's arm has not recovered yet. FUNG CHEE feels very quilty for HAY TUNG's accident. She wants to visit her at the hospital. However, HAY TUNG has left the hospital quietly. FUNG CHEE is worried HAY TUNG will do silly things. Upon returning home, FUNG CHEE finds CHOY JUNG has disappeared so she goes everywhere she can to look for him. She finally gets hold of him at the elderly home. She is depressed to see that his unconsciousness has worsen much more. When HAY TUNG returns home, she throws away all the things she has bought for her baby. She decides to start it all over and to establish her own career again. FUNG CHEE receives the close-down compensation funds for KWOK LEUNG's company. She decides to use the money to buy a new flat so as to prove she owes nothing to HAY TUNG. HAY TUNG gets back to the advertising world. MEI PO treats CHEUNG FAT as a stranger and doesn't get close to him. Later on, CHEUNG FAT and KIT YING make out a plan to convince MEI PO who now listens and the whole family are happy. CHI MAN and KIT YING have been together for quite a while. His passion for her grows deeper and deeper. He treats her like a girlfriend. One evening, KIT YING re-meets her ex-boyfriend JOE and is disturbed by him. JOE wants to accompany her on her way home. This is all seen by CHI MAN who mistakenly thinks KIT YING and JOE go back to each other. CHI MAN is enraged. HAY TUNG is in low mood but JING CHUNG is there to care for her. She is deeply impressed. JOE continues to disturb KIT YING who feels rather disgusting. Incidentally, CHI MAN is there to protect KIT YING. KIT YING starts to feel regretful for her not taking care of CHEUNG FAT for the past many years. She decides to try her best to look after him before he passes away. JING CHUNG and FUNG CHEE have been along for quite some time. Their relationship has been firmly established. They even fall in love with each other. JING CHUNG gradually knows whom he really loves. It is FUNG CHEE and not HAY TUNG. He tries to express his emotion to FUNG CHEE. However, since FUNG CHEE has been once beaten by love, she has lost all her confidence in love. Thus, she rejects JING CHUNG. JING CHUNG is pushing around FUNG CHEE and HAY TUNG and is at a loss of what to do. He now lets the matter go its own way. HAY TUNG realises there is something between JING CHUNG and FUNG CHEE. She thinks they may be in love with each other. Since she doesn't want FUNG CHEE gets JING CHUNG, she changes her attitudes towards JING CHUNG in view that she can get him back from FUNG CHEE.

CHEUK YAN is angry with HAY TUNG so he goes to argue with her. They even fight with each other and are later brought to the court. However, HAY TUNG claims she has financial difficulties and asks CHEUK YAN to compensate her out of the court. They later break into another dispute in regard of money problem. HAY TUNG carelessly hurts CHEUK YAN with a knife and this is seen by FUNG CHEE who brings her to the police. HAY TUNG is being questioned by the police. She gives her statement in fear of being found quilty. JING CHUNG gets known of the same and is very disappointed. He refuses to confess for her. Later on, HAY TUNG makes out a plan to disguise from him and TUNG CHUNG promises to confess for her again. FUNG CHEE points out the quilt of HAY TUNG at the court. HAY TUNG is so furious that she also points out FUNG CHEE is trying to take revenge out of her jealousy. Serious arguments arise between them.… ...
