Shy, quiet Carly Beth is an easy target for everyone's teasing and practical jokes. But this Halloween she's found a wonderfully spooky mask that has her tormentors scared and running. Carly Beth refuses to take her new mask off, even though it causes strange things to happen to her and other people. One day the magic of the mask turns on Carly Beth. She's horrified to discover that she and the mask have become one.

His father has just brought home an antique cuckoo clock. It's old. It's expensive. And Mr. Webster won't let anyone touch it. Poor Michael. He should have listened to his dad. Because someone put a spell on the clock. A strange spell. A dangerous spell. And now Michael's life will never be the same again...

Lucy likes to tell monster stories. She's told so many that her friends and her family are sick of it. Then one day, Lucy discovers a real, live monster: the librarian in charge of the summer reading program. Too bad Lucy's told so many monster tall tales. Too bad no one believes a word she says. Too bad the monster knows who she is... and is coming after her next.

The summer camp of Billy's dreams is turning out to be a total nightmare. The food stinks. The counselors are weird. And who or what is this vicious beast everyone calls ""Sabre""? Things are getting worse by the minute! So why doesn't Uncle Al, the camp director, seem worried? Does the mystery of the Forbidden Bunk have something to do with Billy's fellow campers disappearing one by one? Either way Billy has had it! He's determined to find out what is going on before it is too late.

Brooke's best friend, Zeke, has just gotten the lead role in the school play, The Phantom. Zeke's totally into it. He loves dressing up in the grotesque phantom costume. And scaring the other members of the cast. Brooke thinks Zeke is getting a little too into it. But then really scary things start happening. A message appears on a piece of scenery: ""Stay away from my home sweet home, Esmeralda!"" A stage light comes crashing down. Is someone trying to ruin the play? Or is there really a phantom living under the stage?

08 December 1995 - Piano Lessons Can Be Murder

When Jerry finds a dusty old piano in the attic of his new house, his parents offer to pay for lessons. At first, taking piano seems like a cool idea. But there's something creepy about Jerry's piano teacher, Dr. Shreek. Something really creepy. Something Jerry can't quite put his finger on. Then Jerry hears the stories. Terrifying stories. About the students at Dr. Shreek's music school. Students who went in for a lesson... and never came out.

22 December 1995 - Return of the Mummy

After last year's scary adventure, Gabe's a little nervous about being back in Egypt. Back near the ancient pyramids. Back where he saw all those creepy mummies. Then he learns about an Egyptian superstition. A secret chant that is supposed to bring mummies to life. Gabe's uncle says it's just a hoax. But now it sounds like something's moving in the mummy's tomb. No way a couple of dumb words can wake the dead. Can they?

12 January 1996 - Night of the Living Dummy II

It's the middle of Amy Kramer's most-hated night, Family Night, where every member of the family has to share something with the others. After a home-made video of the family's most embarrasing situations put together by Amy's mischievious little brother, Jed, it's Amy's turn to share. She decides to share a ventriloquist act with her ventriloquist dummy, Dennis. However, not even halfway through the routine, Dennis loses his head. Amy complains to her father, reminding him that he told her she'd get a new dummy. So Amy does. She gets Slappy. However, after Amy reads the card of magic gibberish in Slappy's coat pocket, she's just put her family and herself in jeopardy. Because Slappy's no normal dummy. He's one that can come to life...

When Margaret's dad gets fired from his job as a botanist, he begins acting weird and spending all his time down in the basement. But no one seems to notice his odd behavior or hear the strange noises coming from below-except Margaret. She's really scared. Has her father turned into a mad scientist? Her brother, Casey, thinks she's nuts-that is until he finds out that dad has been eating plant food! What is going on? Together Margaret and Casey venture down into the dark, creepy basement to unearth their father's spooky secret...

Greg thinks there is something wrong with the old camera he and his friends found. The photographs keep turning out wrong. Very wrong. Like the snapshot Greg took of his father's new car that shows it totalled. And then Greg's father is in a nasty wreck. But Greg's friends don't believe him. Shari even makes Greg bring the camera to her birthday party and take her picture. Only Shari's not in the photograph when it develops. Is Shari about to be taken out of the picture permanently? Who is going to take the next fall for...the evil camera?

25 February 1996 - A Night in Terror Tower (1)

While visiting London, Sue and her brother, Eddie, are out on their own for the day while their parents attend a buisness conference. At first bored, they are delighted when their bus makes a stop at Terror Tower. But the fun turns to fright when the kids see the wax statues in the Tower's torture chamber moving as if they are real... and ghostly images start calling out warnings to them. Suddenly, Sue and Eddie are running for their lives as they travel back in time to the Middle Ages to escape the dark fate of Terror Tower.

25 February 1996 - A Night in Terror Tower (2)

While visiting London, Sue and her brother, Eddie, are out on their own for the day while their parents attend a buisness conference. At first bored, they are delighted when their bus makes a stop at Terror Tower. But the fun turns to fright when the kids see the wax statues in the Tower's torture chamber moving as if they are real... and ghostly images start calling out warnings to them. Suddenly, Sue and Eddie are running for their lives as they travel back in time to the Middle Ages to escape the dark fate of Terror Tower.

17 May 1996 - The Werewolf of Fever Swamp (1)

Grady's family has just moved out of the city. Into the swamp. Suffice to say, Grady and his sister, Emily, aren't exactly thrilled, especially when his sister finds a snake in the medicine chest. After making a few jokes about the snake looking like Emily's old boyfriend, his father orders him to set the snake free in the swamp. So Grady does. However, he gets a bit lost, and realizes he's gone in a bit too deep. He then runs into the local swamp hermit. The next day, Grady meets the only other kid around, Will Blake. When the go into the swamp, Will tells Grady about a strange fever that you can get from the swamp. He also tells Grady about the swamp hermit, and how the swamp hermit is a werewolf. Grady somehow believes it, but his family is skeptical. That night, hoping he does not catch the ""Fever Swamp"", Grady goes downstairs to lock the basement door, but he is attacked by an animal. Is it the werewolf?

17 May 1996 - The Werewolf of Fever Swamp (2)

When Grady's family moves out of the city and into a rickety old house in Fever Swamp, both he and his sister Emily find a lot to complain about: they have no friends, no neighbors and nothing to do. Then Grady meets the only other kid around, Will Blake, who tells him the legend of the swamp and about the werewolf responsible for the mysterious disappearances of many former residents. Although Grady is afraid the legend may be true, his parents and sister refuse to believe it...until the next full moon.
