Because when Matt wakes up, his whole life has changed. For the worse. And every time he falls asleep, he wakes up in a new nightmare...

Seth Gold is sick of being ordered around by his sister, his mother, and his father. His hobby is channel-surfing, so he orders a remote from a company in a magazine. One day as Seth is riding home from school, he checks the mail and the remote came and is inside. Running inside the house to open it, Seth notices it can also be used to change the radio station. He then decides to watch TV, when his sister Jamie comes in to practice her tap-dancing. As a joke, Seth presses the Pause button while aiming the remote at his sister. His sister actually pauses! Seth now realizes this new remote can control more than just the TV.

28 September 1996 - Go Eat Worms!

Obsessed with worms? That's putting it mildly. Todd is so fascinated with worms, he keeps a worm farm in his basement! Most of all, Todd loves torturing his sister and her best friend with worms. Dropping them in their hair. Down their backs. Until one day, after cutting a worm in half, Todd notices something strange. The rest of the worms seem to be staring at him! Suddenly worms start showing up in the worst places for Todd. In his bed. In his homework. Even in his spaghetti! What's a worm lover to do when his own worms are starting to gross him out?

After last year's terrifying Halloween, Carly Beth buried her old haunted mask. Now this year her friend Steve wants to find a mask just as scary, but Carly Beth refuses to tell him where she bought hers. At the last minute though, Steve encounters a stranger wearing Carly Beth's old mask, a mysterious man who leads him to a boarded-up novelty shop. Steve elips in through the back door and steals a creepy mask he finds in the basement. What he doesn't realize is that Carly Beth's old mask is alive-and using both Steve and the shopkeeper to get her back!

Jodie loves visiting her grandparents' farm, listening to Grandpa Kurt's spooky stories and devouring Grandma Miriam's chocolate chip pancakes. But she and her brother Mark haven't been to the farm in a year, and it appears to have changed. The cornfields are sparse, their grandparents look terrible, and the single scarecrow has been replaced by 12 towering, dark, evil-looking ones that seem to have a life of their own.

However, Freddy and Kara don't listen, and head downstars to the basement to search for them. With no luck, Freddy then sees a box on top of a high shelf. He bets anything that they're in that box. Though they never find out. Trying to reach it, the shelf topples over, revealing a hidden passageway in their basement. Following it, the kids find a dark, damp, and cold room. With a coffin. And in that coffin is a very bloodthirsty vampire...
