LAI by chance takes a photo which shows how he attacked the policeman's breast. KEUNG finds it as a good opportunity that should not be missed. He discusses with YANG. He then lies that YAN & LAI are lovers hoping that CHEONG will give them the money before they leave Hong Kong. CHEONG & YIN have good impression on KWAN DI, the daughter of WONG FU LDI, who is their distant relative. CHEONG & YIN want to match DI with KEUNG. LAI also wants her daughter to marry a rich guy, thus, he tries to match them. YIN worries that CHEONG will recover his love feeling for KWAN Thus, she does not mention KWAN before CHEONG. CHEONG sees KWAN in a TV show. He always images that he will meet KWAN again. However, she dare not to tell YIN the case. They conceal the secret from each other. KWAN meets CHEONG. She expects that CHEONG will feel sorry for himself who has had ungrateful to KWAN. However, she is disappointed. Fortunately, YANG consoles her. In order to gain his parents confidenence, arranges YAN & LAI to participate in the lovers contest held by a TV station. However, they do not understand each other & answer the question wrongly. LAI, CHEONG & YIN try their best to match KEUNG with DI. However, KEUNG does not like DI who is very troublesome. YIN knows that CHEONG has met KWAN & worries a lot. LAI has finished an interview article. However, KEUNG mistakenly losses that article. LAI is very nervous. Fortunately, YAN has witnessed that interview. He helps LAI to re-write that article. LAI could then hand in the article in time. She feels grateful with YAN's help.

The relation between LAI & YAN has been improved a lot. LAI learns from YIN to plan for her future. YAN is also influenced by LA1 & knows to appreciate the essence of life. In fact, YAN & LAI have started to concern each other after a long time of contact. KWAN misunderstands that LA1 intends to complete with YANG for YAN. KWAN then warns YANG to be careful. YANG laughs away. KEUNG is chased by the loanshark & is very nervous. He urges LAI & YAN to work more hard. L01 rebukes 0I who cannot win KEUNG's favour. L01 even teaches 01 how to date boys. YANG cannot tolerate LOI's way & arranges DI to live temporarily in her beauty-parlour. She does not let LO1 know DI's trace.

CHEONG by chance knows that KWAN's beauty-parlour's where about. He even knows that her beauty-parlour is facing some financial problem because of the increase of rent. He also knows that KWAN has worked & lived very hard for the past thirty years from DI. Thus, he feels very sorry for what she has encountered. He secretly helps her to pay the rent. CHEONG has a good impression on YAN & thinks that LAI could rely on him. Thus, CHEONG agrees to subsidize them to establish a laundry shop. YIN by chance knows that DI is hidden in KWAN's place. She misunderstands that KW AN & CHEONG are planned to cuneal the truth from her. She discloses DI's where about to L0I in a towering anger. Once, KWAN goes to a wedding studio to try the bride make-up. She finds YAN & LAI's wedding photo & suspects the case. She even meets CHEONG & YIN. She eventually discloses the truth. She tells YIN & CHEONG that YAN & YANG are lovers. CHEONG is dissatisfied with KEUNG & rebukes him. KEUNG quarrels with CHEONG. CHEONG stops the cheque so as to frustrated KEUNG. KEUNG has to sell his Karaoke to the loanshark, CHING, in order to pay the debt. The girl who gets along with him also leaves him. KEUNG is very upset. DI comforts him. KEUNG could then recover. CHEONG invests heavily in KWAN's beauty parlour in order to compensate KWAN for what YIN has done to hurt her. When YIN has known the case, she scolds CHEONG. She threatens CHEONG that she will leave home. In order to teach her a lesson, CHEONG does not ask her to stay. He even helps KWAN to manage her beauty parlour's business. She actually plans to compete with KWAN & confronts against her. However, she hides her evil deeds before CHEONG. CHEUNG falls in love with YANG at the first sight. YANG is gradually aware of her weaknesses. She tries her best to improve herself in order to gain YAN's goodwill. YIN has already learned some basic skills in facial message. She starts to confront against KWAN & becomes very bossy. YIN knows that LAI is bothered by the love affairs & is very upset. She encourages LAI to compete with YANG for YAN. LAI & YANG compete for YAN simultaneously. YAN feels himself like a puppet & is grieved with pains. YIN thinks that YANG has pretended to commit suicide in the hope that she can win back YAN. YIN tries her best to make LAI believe that it is true so as to encourage her to struggle against YANG for YAN.

LAI tells YAN that YANG had pretended to kill herself. When YAN has known that, he is very dissatisfied with YANG. YANG suspects that it is CHEUNG who discloses the truth to YAN. However, CHEUNG guarantees YANG that he has not told YAN the case. YANG trusts him. CHEUNG meets YAN & have a chat with each other. YAN then knows that CHEUNG is in love with YANG. They compromise that they will court their own lover & do not interfere each other's business. LAU NGAN is reluctant to see KEUNG stay with DI. She lies that she is pregnant & KEUNG is the father. CHEONG agrees that he will give her five hundred thousand dollars by the time she gives birth to the baby as compensation. DI is very disappointed with KEUNG & decides to leave him.

YAN eventually cannot manage between LAI & YANG. He then takes the initiative to chase the two girls in the hope that they will give up him. The two girls could then rebuild their friendship. LAU NGAN stays in TANG's family. She is even in league with a man & steals their property. CHEONG does not know their evil deeds. DI is so disappointed that she keeps away from KEUNG. However, she cannot help to keep going out with KEUNG who is very sincere in asking her to forgive him. NGAN insults DI ironically. Dl is very embarassed. Though YIN does not like NGAN, she has to tolerate her as she is pregnant. YANG is disappointed with YAN. She feels so lonely that she falls in love with CHEUNG who cares & concerns about her.

YAN appears as a debauchee & always wanders around the night pub. One night, he quarrels with a stranger. Later, he is hunted by somebody. He is fainted & is being sent to the hospital. LAI takes care YAN all along. She even misunderstands that he has become an idiot, however, she is still good to him. YAN is greatly affected with gratitude. He is determined to take care LAI & stays with her. KEUNG overcomes a lot of difficulties & eventually wins DI's trust. DI agrees to marry him. YIN finds that NGAN acts strangely. She follows her & finds that she is in lea e with a man to seize the TANG's property. They even discloses that she pretends to be pregnant. KEUNG is then at ease. In another aspect, all of them try to mediate between YIN & KWAN who have quarrelled for many years. Could they succeed? Please pay attention to the ending of 'Happy Returns'.
