Episode 1

01 August 2007 - Episode 1

The Buddha fled west: Empress Dowager Cixi fled west, and her diet became a problem. Small town style (calm on the eve of the earthquake), chef Hong, whose family has fallen, forces Xiao Fugui to learn cooking to revitalize his family business. Chef Hong was arrested, and the little cook felt bad.

Episode 2

08 August 2007 - Episode 2

The old chef was arrested: The old chef showed his skills in order to promote the family dishes, and Xiao Lizi helped. The old cook fantasized while frying, and Xiao Lizi took the opportunity to poison: the spider was poisoned and fell into the dish. The old cook wanted to cook again, but Xiao Lizi disagreed. Xiao Lizi was the first to plant the blame, and the old cook was thrown into prison. Lafayette was furious, Guangxu was put under house arrest, and Xiao Lizi sent pigeons.

15 August 2007 - Episode 3

Save Grandpa: Little Lizi couldn't recruit a cook, so he offered generous conditions (gold medal to avoid death), and the little cook revealed the imperial list and entered the palace. The little cook cooks according to his divine instructions, but the dishes he makes are extremely ugly. Xiao Fugui found the leftovers of Lafayette, found out that it was not poisonous, and learned the cause of Lafayette's disease. Xiao Lizi came and caught Xiao Fugui who was absconding in fear of crime, and told him that he could have been named the accompanying imperial cook and got the waist card, but he was sentenced to death.

Keeping people under the sword: An old doctor from a mountain village was found, and he found out that Lafayette's illness was caused by overeating, and prescribed a medicinal diet. Xiao Lizi was about to kill Xiao Fugui in order to get rid of the relationship, but news came that he wanted the chef to make a medicinal meal, so he hastily kept him under the knife. Xiao Fugui was looking for ingredients for medicinal meals, but he couldn't get them all together. He remembered his grandfather's recipe and used the existing ingredients to make medicinal meals. Lafayette recovered from a serious illness and left the town. Xiao Fugui is exempt from the death penalty, but he cannot escape the crime of living. He traveled westward with the Queen Mother to make meritorious deeds. Prompted by Xiao Lizi, Xiao Fugui decided to use pigeons to nourish Lafayette.

Episode 8

19 September 2007 - Episode 8

Carrier pigeons eat: Xiao Fugui looks for pigeons, and Xiao Lizi waits for carrier pigeons. Lafayette's life is getting better and better, but Guangxu has hallucinations due to hunger. Lafayette decided to test him. Order three dishes, and you can pass the test if you are satisfied. Toss the hairpin to set the theme. The first question is fish.

Xiao Fugui found that the fish was missing, and he didn't know the reason, so he had to start all over again.

Fish in Stone Pot: Xiao Fugui re-cooked the fish, and was wary of someone destroying it. Xiao Lizi was also afraid of changing again, so he cautiously waited for the final confirmation of Guangxu's job before poisoning him. The dish was finished, but was taken away by the hungry Guangxu. Xiao Fugui and Xiao Lizi tried their best to find a pot, and finally replaced it with stones. Xiao Fugui made a fish in a stone pot, and Xiao Lizi wanted to poison him again, but it was heard that Lafayette wanted to eat with Guangxu, Xiao Lizi was happy that he didn't poison him. The queen mother was satisfied with the fish in stone pot, and then threw a hairpin and set the theme: rice.

Episode 13

24 October 2007 - Episode 13

Returning the Pot: Xiao Fugui made eight-treasure rice, and Guangxu came to return the pot with apology. Xiao Fugui was worried that he had no helper, so he regarded Guangxu as a thief who stole the pot and detained him as a coolie. Xiao Lizi wanted to poison the rice, but he didn't want to be disturbed by Guangxu, so he couldn't do it. The three of them messed around in the kitchen. Xiao Lizi assigned Xiao Fugui, Xiao Fugui assigned Guangxu, and Guangxu went around to assign Xiao Lizi. The pot turned over and the rice was overturned. Xiaofu drove Guangxu away because of his extravagance.

Episode 14

31 October 2007 - Episode 14

Bamboo tube rice: Xiao Fugui cooks again, making bamboo tube rice for new ideas. When Xiao Lizi came, he thought it was time to poison him, so he went to chop bamboo with Xiao Fugui. Poison is placed on the inner wall of the bamboo tube of Xiaolizi, and the poison is melted into the rice unconsciously by using steam. Xiao Fugui was shocked when he found out that there was poison in the rice through his golden index finger.

Episode 15

07 November 2007 - Episode 15

Please rest assured, Xiao Fugui: Xiao Fugui urgently reports the discovery of poison to Xiao Lizi. Xiao Lizi wanted to fool him, but Xiao Fugui insisted on catching the poisoner. Xiao Lizi had no choice but to dress up as the poisoner with a puppet, and acted out a self-written and self-directed play in front of Xiao Fugui. Xiao Fugui mistakenly thought that the poisoner had been eliminated, dispelling his doubts. The news came that Lafayette was going to visit the kitchen, the rice had been thrown out and there was only a little rice left, the two of them were in a hurry.

Episode 16

14 November 2007 - Episode 16

Lafayette came to the kitchen: In the kitchen, there was a cold pot and a cold stove, Xiao Fugui and Xiao Lizi hurriedly used the little rice left to make delicious crispy rice. Lafayette visited the kitchen and was curious about everything, which disrupted Xiao Fugui's cooking plan (Xiao Fugui wanted to fry, but Lafayette said that frying was not good, so he wanted to steam). The crispy rice was presented, which was delicious but did not meet the requirements of the dinner. Xiao Fugui was in a hurry. The Queen Mother finally decided that if the third dish was cooked satisfactorily, he would still be appointed as the accompanying imperial chef, but if he did not do well, he would be kicked out.
