LAM SIU CHUNG is a toy designer. As being falsely accused by his boss, CHUNG is dismissed. Moreover he has to confront difficulties one after the other. All these drive him crazy. CHUNG believes that violence can solve all problems in the society which owes him so much. When he is in despair, CHUNG finds a gun left by a policeman after a bank robbery. The gun brings him the feeling of safety. Meanwhile WU KWOK FAI, who is a CID, is being criticized by the press for he has lost his gun. However FAI manages to withstand the pressure and able to pacify his wife who is so nervous. FAI is exhausted. Hatred explodes in CHUNG's heart when he knows that his design has been stolen by his boss LUK YIU SHING. Though he wants to be an avenger, he dares not to take any action. Incidentally CHUNG meets a PR CHUNG YUET LAI whose heart has been broken by a love tricker……

YUEN CHO ON is a reporter and is instructed to report the case of rapping relating to "Call-and-make-friends". In the work, ON comes across the victim CHUNG LAI HUNG. On the other hand, ON's good friend, YU WING CHI takes vacation in Hong Kong. As ON is too busy, CHI feels bored. Thus CHI makes phone call to find new friends. Unluckily, CHI is killed by a maniac. ON questions her ex-boyfriend CHIM TIN YUNG, who is responsible for the investigation work of this case, YUNG keeps his lips tight. ON decides to join the game and finds the killer herself. ON dates with several persons while TANG CHI LAP - the killer, is also among them. ON is nearly raped by one of her new friends and she is saved by LAP. Love germinates between ON and LAP. However ON discovers that LAP is the killer. When LAP finds ON suspecting him, he kills LUK WING KAM and blames ON as the killer……

She lost her baby and was sentenced seven-year-imprisonment. After seven years, FAN is HUI LAP SHUN's wife and she is bearing a baby. FAN has a happy family and she lives with her sister SHUK CHING and the old maid FUEN. YI tries to make friend with FAN. As FAN is blackmailed, she feels exhausted and YI is employed to be FAN's nurse. FUEN accidentally read the newspaper stating YI's killing OT SANG. YI kills FUEN to keep the secret. She blames FAN and this worsens the relationship between SHUN and FAN. YI tries to bridge CHING and SHUN as she finds that CHING admires SHUN. When FAN discovers it, she drives CHING away……

SHUN HOI LUEN is taken care by fate. She is a talented and charming lady. Everything is good except she has fallen in love with a married man KEUNG PUI. As PUI refuses to divorce with his wife, LUEN is confused. She argues with PUI and accidentally, she gets hurt and is sent to hospital. There LUEN meets BO who is saved. They were classmates and LUEN has pity on BO. She invited BO to live with her. BO wants to kill herself in front of her former boyfriend in his wedding ceremony. Luckily LUEN saves her. LUEN teaches her to have self-confidence. BO regards LUEN as hey idol for all LUEN has. When she meets PUI, she admires him but she hides her love deep in her heart as she is inferior to LUEN. BO realises that she can compete with LUEN……

LI TUNG YI swears to take vengeance for his colleague who works as a spy beside the smuggler - HAU KWAN. At the same time he has to protect the only witness TONG - a nun. TONG has firm belief in God and is an optimistic and kind girl. She is not frightened by the killer. However she does not want the church to be affected, she accepts TUNG to protect her. TUNG is leading a care-free life which is a polar opposite of the strict one of TONG. This makes them have quarrels. On the other hand, TUNG admired MIMI, who is a PR, but she is only a troubler-maker. This confuses TUNG. Being affected by alcohol, TUNG humiliates TONG but TONG does not scold him. In fact she has more understanding of his heart. TUNG feels guilty and brings her to see the wonderful world. They have developed friendship. Being betrayed by his boss, TUNG and TONG are found by KWAN. TUNG is shot and he recovers with TONG's unceasing care……

The popular singer HUI WAI MAN hides his love affairs with his personal assistant JOHN to maintain his image. One day JOHN is killed and the mysterious Killer claims that he will kill all those involve in homosexuality. For MAN's sake, his manager AMY hires TONG KA LING as his bodyguard. Losing JOHN is a great shock to MAN and MAN wants to kill himself. LING saves him and convinces him to change his mind. He decides to use lyrics to express his love of JOHN. MAN's fan CAT feels relieved when she sees MAN having the courage again. AMY is jealous as she has been admiring MAN and now MAN still remembers JOHN. She discloses her love to MAN but she is refused. AMY threatens MAN that she will disclose the scandal between MAN and JOHN but later she is killed in a traffic accident. From AMY's belongings, the police finds that she hates JOHN and suspects that JOHN was killed by her……

LAW WAI HUNG works in an advertising company. He is a keen worker and he loves his wife MAY deeply. However MAY disappears after his business trip. HUNG suspects that MAY has been killed for money. As the "Rainy Night Killer" has been arrested, HUNG thinks that MAY has been chopped into pieces. HUNG is depressed and this affects his work. His new colleague PANG LI gives him support and this sows seeds of friendship in their hearts. LI is an optimist and lives alone in the building where HUNG lives. Both are living alone and they always help each other. LI finds that HUNG knows too little about MAY and thinks that t1e has not treated MAY good. This also shocks HUNG as he realises that he did not treat MAY as good as he thought. Moreover HUNG finds that MAY has conducted abortion, he suspects that there is a third person ... All these ideas make HUNG nervous……

As the victim has not regained his consciousness, SING is sent to prison. At last the victim wakes up and tells what has happened. HUNG's subordinates determine to pay revenge for HUNG. KIN PAK, who has killed HUNG, also accuses SHAN. LEUNG cannot protect SHAN……
