Synopsis
This three-part documentary explores the history of censorship in New Zealand — from movies, video games, books and songs, to news reports and letters during wartime. The fast-paced show charts major trends, features interviews with many past censors, and takes a closer look at a number of key censorship decisions — including Ulysses and Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer, which was banned by one Kiwi classification body, but released in cut form on video.
