03 February 2009 - Bamboo Jungle

This backyard gets an exotic makeover as it's transformed into a bamboo jungle! An old chain link fence and wrought iron cabana are completely remodeled with bamboo fencing and green wood. A unique, bamboo water feature serves as a stunning centerpiece for the yard and at six feet high, the sound of water completely drowns out the freeway noise!

10 February 2009 - Galvanized Gazebo

This couple has tons of space in their backyard but no reason to spend time in it. This backyard goes from boring lawn to the ultimate hang out as a sweet galvanized gazebo fills the wasted space. Also, a few metal tables and comfortable lounge seating make this gazebo anything but ordinary. A new walkway, unique light posts and one colorful glass chandelier complete the look and gets this couple chillin' in their backyard.

16 February 2009 - Small-Space Concrete

This tiny yard gets a massive upgrade as it's transformed into a hip, urban retreat with clean lines and a very modern design. The existing concrete pad is stained to infuse color into the yard and poured concrete rectangles with inlaid tile extend the patio space. To top it off, a unique trellis adds vibrant pops of color with high-tech tiles unlike any you've seen before!

17 February 2009 - Rustic Country Patio

It's a yard like no other- sheep, rams and about two hundred acres. See how this interesting yard transforms from a hodgepodge yard to a backyard destination. An uneven flagstone patio gets replaced by a large decomposed granite patio, a few interesting window walls to maintain the view but block the wind and a one of a kind water feature for a one of a kind backyard!

This home brewer's mess of a yard is quickly transformed into the ultimate backyard brewery. A custom steel wrap-around bar with a dual tap beer tower serves as the centerpiece, accented by barstools made from recycled kegs! The party space extends out past the bar to a brick "fryer" pit and a keg table topped with beer caps!

19 February 2009 - Hot-Tub Hub

This new house has a backyard that looks like it's got everything going right- a hot tub, brand new outdoor kitchen, even a shade structure! But it's ultra boring! See how this yard becomes a hot tub entertainment hub- complete with a colorful stamped concrete pathway, inviting U-shaped vertical seating walls with a pop of unique colored material, slate mosaic walls and a one of a kind shade structure make this makeover memorable.

20 February 2009 - Sleepy Creek Bed

This yard is transformed from a barren wasteland of dead grass to a relaxing, woodsy retreat. A dry creek meanders through, creating separate rooms connected by a bridge with a decorative arbor top. Cobble stone patios are placed on both sides along with hammocks and a bubbling, fogging fountain!

30 March 2009 - Gravel Table

This bachelor is one happy homeowner but he's got a neglected landscape that needs some serious help. In just two days, this backyard transforms into the ultimate bachelor pad- complete with a resourceful gravel table, a sweet sail shade, lush sod, innovative ice chests and one luxurious hot tub- making this once pitiful backyard a colorful oasis.

06 April 2009 - Barbecue Island

A small, odd shaped yard is transformed into a griller's paradise with the addition of a deluxe barbeque island with built-in seating. Overhead, a redwood arbor with stripes of multi-colored shade cloth adds function and an element of design. Surrounding the patio a plank walkway and mow-free grass expand the usable entertaining space.

13 April 2009 - Barn Deck

What was once a dead lawn, overgrown plants, unused kids toys and outdated backyard accessories gets a facelift. . With a sweet design and hard work, this backyard comes to life as a one hundred year old barn deck is set into place, a concrete chic fire feature and vibrant plants are incorporated into the mix.

04 May 2009 - Mosaic Patio

A mixed-media patio expands the usable space in this tiny yard and adds artistic flare. Its unique design is composed of several different concrete pavers mixed in with natural flagstone. In the middle of the patio, an "island" is built to showcase a pebble mosaic water feature that anyone can build!

10 May 2009 - Backyard Living Room

With a small house, this homeowner wants to expand the living space into her backyard. This landscape goes from unused lawn space to large paver patio framed by colorful hanging antique windows and a bright door. Also, some hardwood deck planks are put together to build some deep rectangular bench seating. Some new plants, hanging party lights and a tree stump turned into a slick coffee table and this couple gets the ultimate outdoor room.

11 May 2009 - Ultimate French Drain

A serious drainage problem is solved underground with a French drain that's disguised on top by plants and a dry creek bed. Creative, recycled seating is placed throughout the yard and a massive daybed caps off the end of the creek. Made of redwood and metal with huge outdoor cushions, this daybed provides comfortable lounging for six or more.
